Thanks for calling Dan's garage. I'm Cally, his digital assistant. Dan can't get to the phone just now. Could I take your name, number, and a quick message, please?

Smart Voicemail.
The practical bits.
What is included for £14.95 a month?
Smart Voicemail starts from £14.95 a month with 50 voice minutes and 50 standard SMS parts per month. Cally takes a name, callback number and message. After the call, you get the enquiry summary and the caller gets a personalised thank-you with your website and callback reassurance. Both texts share the 50-part allowance. No VAT is currently charged. Setup, separate provider costs and extra usage are agreed in writing before activation.
Does my phone still ring first?
Yes, with a supported unanswered-call divert. Answer normally when you can. If you do not pick up, the call goes to Cally instead of your usual voicemail. We check your provider and agree the delay it supports before switching anything. There is no fixed promise of 10 or 15 rings, and your provider may charge for forwarding.
What does 50 SMS parts mean?
The 50 standard SMS parts are shared across owner summaries and caller follow-ups, not 50 pairs of texts. If both messages fit in one part each, 25 calls would use 50 parts. Longer texts or certain characters can use several parts. We keep the wording compact. The separate voice allowance is 50 minutes.
What does the caller receive?
A personal thank-you in your business name, your website and a clear next step: for example, Dan will call you back when he is free. We agree the wording and sender identity during setup; a business sender name depends on provider support. The caller needs a valid text-capable number. We test delivery and agree a fallback for withheld numbers, landlines or failed messages. These are service follow-ups, not a marketing subscription.
What happens if I use more than the allowance?
Extra minutes and SMS parts are billable at the rates agreed in your written quote before activation. Both the caller text and owner summary count towards usage. We confirm any number or forwarding costs so you can decide whether the package fits your calls.
Can the greeting sound like my business?
Yes. We agree your business name, the owner’s name and a short greeting. Cally introduces herself as your digital assistant, takes the details, then closes with a friendly thank-you. She does not claim to know what you are doing at that moment or promise a callback time.
Can it book jobs or give quotes?
This package collects messages for you to respond to. It does not promise a booking, quote, emergency response or callback time. For business questions, supported booking connections or a fuller call flow, the managed AI receptionist starts from £99.95 a month.
How do we get started?
Tell Garreth your business name, website, phone provider, when you miss calls and which mobile should receive summaries. We agree both text templates, greeting, costs, caller-information handling and fallback, then test the whole journey before forwarding real calls. Monthly services require 30 days written notice to cancel; the current billing period is not refunded.
